Sie wurden für eine Werbeaktion eines Neujahrs-Events von Sanrio namens Six Golden Piggies Lantern Carnival ins Leben gerufen, das in der MegaBox Mall stattfinden wird. Wie ihr in den wunderbar niedlichen Fotos der unten sehen werdet, sind sechs Sanrio-Charaktere für diesen Anlass zu goldenen Schweinchen geworden: My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Pompompurin, Keroppi und Osaru no monkichi.
